🌿 About Me

Hi, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Chitra, the heart behind this blog—a space where I share my journey toward a slower, more intentional way of living. I’m passionate about getting back to basics: cooking real food from scratch, growing what I can, making things by hand, and reducing waste wherever possible.

🥘 Cooking from Scratch

In my kitchen, you won’t find shortcuts packed with food grown from our garden using just simple ingredients, real flavors, and time-tested recipes. From homemade bread and garden-fresh soups to nourishing staples, I believe in the magic that happens when we slow down and cook with care.

🌱 Gardening & Growing

Whether it’s a few pots on the patio or a full backyard garden, We living on the Swiss country side have found deep joy (and lots of lessons!) in growing my own food. We love sharing gardening tips, seasonal planting guides, and how even small spaces can yield big harvests. We also share our flops in our videos on our Youtube channel. 🍃 Sustainable Living

This blog is rooted in mindful choices. I explore ways to reduce plastic, repurpose what I have, and live a little lighter on the earth. Sustainability doesn’t have to be perfect—it’s about progress, intention, and doing what we can.

💄 Homemade Beauty & DIY

I believe our bodies deserve gentle, natural care. I love crafting homemade beauty products like herbal salves, sugar scrubs, and simple skin treatments—all with ingredients you can actually pronounce.

🌻 Why I Share

This lifestyle is far from fancy or flawless—but it’s real, grounding, and deeply fulfilling. My goal is to inspire others to slow down, reconnect with their home, and find joy in the everyday.

Whether you’re here for a bread recipe, composting tips, or just a breath of calm—thank you for joining me. Let’s grow something good together.

Warmly,
Chitra
