Vanilla Brown Sugar Body Scrub

With the winter months fast approaching, why not give your skin the tender loving care it deserves. You can make this homemade vanilla brown sugar scrub with just these 4 ingredients found in your kitchen pantry. This DIY project makes a perfect gift for anyone, or it’s great for pampering yourself.

EASY TO MAKE ORGANIC SUGAR BODY SCRUB

This recipe uses only natural and organic ingredients, like honey, sugar and coconut oil.

Sugar scrubs are nourishing to the skin and are great for exfoliating. And can be used as a hand scrub or on the whole body during before showering. That is what my daughter and I do.

My little baby is definitely growing up and she is into a lot of DIY’s on her own. She wanted to make this vanilla brown sugar scrub recipe since some time. Finally, we got round to making it together and we love it. She loves using it at least once a week during the weekend.

I am really happy that she can make her own homemade diy cosmetics instead of buying body scrubs which are expensive and may have harmful ingredients in them.

BENEFITS OF SUGAR SCRUB

Sugar has very small particles that can be very beneficial at exfoliating the skin and removing the dead skin particles. In comparision to salt, sugar is gentle on your skin.

Even if you have very sensitive skin, sugar scrub is a good choice to exfoliate and smooth your skin.

Sugar scrubs brighten tired, dull-looking skin to promote healthy, smooth, and flawless skin.

The most important and versatile benefit of a sugar scrub is that you can use it all over the body including your face.

Sugar scrub is especially beneficial after exfoliation to help free ingrown hairs.

Glycolic acid is a natural mineral, and is found in natural sugars which can be protective for your skin and helps to keep toxins out.

Since sugar is a natural source of pure Glycolic acid, it penetrates the skin and breaks down the glue that bonds dead and flaky skin. Sugar also helps cell turnover and generating fresher and healthier skin cells.

COCONUT OIL

Need I say the benefits of coconut oil. I use coconut oil for cooking and for body care from hair to toes. Coconut oil in addition to being a wonderful carrier oil is excellent for skin care. It helps in retaining body fluids by preventing dehydration.

Use fractionated coconut oil so the overall scrub doesn’t solidify during the colder months.

HONEY

The use of honey dates back to 4000 years. Honey can be stored for very long without any expiry date. Because honey deeply moisturises the skin from deep within, its used in many skin care products. The enzymes present in Honey enables it to easily seep into the skin while conditioning it and softening it from deep within.

VANILLA BEANS

In addition to using vanilla for baking and cooking, vanilla is a favorite in cosmetics. Since, vanilla contains vitamin B, which plays an important role in maintaining healthy skin. Additionally, the antioxidants in vanilla protect the skin from damage caused by pollution and toxins.
